UPPSC PCS RO Exam Date 2024 The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has announced the exam date for the Combined State/Senior Subordinate Services (Prelims) PCS and Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer. The exam will be held on 07 & 08 December and 22 & 23 December 2024 respectively. The candidates can check the exam time through the table given below:

It is important to note that these are preliminary exams intended for screening purposes only and will not be used to determine the final merit for admission. Due to the non-availability of enough examination centres that meet the required standards, the exams will be conducted across multiple days and shifts.

First-Time Scheduling: This is the first time the UPPSC will conduct these exams in a single month, with only a 19-day gap between the two major exam events. The total number of registered candidates for these exams exceeds a staggering 16.52 lakh.

The decision to schedule the exams across multiple days was made following recommendations from a high-level expert committee tasked with reviewing the examination process. This committee also evaluated past judgments related to multi-shift exams and recommended a transparent evaluation method. As a result, the UPPSC has assured candidates that the evaluation process will be fully automated and computer-based, ensuring accuracy and transparency without any human interference.

The UPPSC has emphasized that, as per government guidelines (dated June 19, 2024), exams with over five lakh candidates must be conducted in multiple shifts. Since the number of candidates for these exams exceeds 10.76 lakh, the exams will be held over two days.
