UPSC Declared Written Result of CDS Examination (I) 2012

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared written result of Combined Defence Service Examination (I) on 13 June 2012. A total of 10815 candidates have qualified written examination held on 12 February 2012 and are eligible for SSB interviews to be held by Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence.

The examination was held for admission to (i) 134th Course of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun (ii) Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala and (iii) 193rd Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course, (iv) 97th SSC Course (for Men) and (v) 11th SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course commencing in January/ April 2013. The ratio of candidates shortlisted for the examination per vacancy is 1: 20.52.

The number of vacancies, as indicated by the Government is 250 for Indian Military Academy (including 32 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C' Certificate (Army Wing) holders], 40 for Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala (2 for Hydro and 38 for Executive- General Service) and 32 for Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-flying) Training Course, 175 for Officers Training Academy, Chennai and 30 for 11th SSC Women (Non Technical) Officers Training Academy, Chennai.

The candidates must not send the original certificates to the UPSC along with attested copies of thereof, to Army Headquarters, A.G.'s Branch/Rtg./CDSE Entry, West Block 3, Ground Floor, Wing No. I, RK Puram, New Delhi-110066 (in case of IMA/SSC as their first choice); Naval Headquarters (R&R Section), Room No. 204, C-Wing, Sena Bhawan, New Delhi-110011 (in case of Naval as first choice); and PO3 (A) Air Headquarters, ‘J' Block, Room No. 17, Opp. Vayu Bhawan, Moti Lal Nehru Marg, New Delhi-110011 (in case of Air Force as first choice).

The mark-sheets of the candidates will be put on the Commission's website within fifteen days from the date of publication of final result (after concluding SSB Interviews) and will remain available on the website for a period of 60 days.
