Vipassana Lessons soon in Delhi Government Schools

    The students and teachers of the Government run schools and sponsored schools in Delhi would soon have an option to opt for Vipassana meditation lessons, pointed out by the recently elected Delhi government. The government of Delhi would bear all the expenses for conducting the same in all the government schools over the city. This would be first of its kind announcement by the government.

    Deputy Chief Minister and the state minister of Education Department of Delhi, Manish Sisodia said in a tweet “Preparations are afoot to train students of government school in Vipassana meditation.” After the tweet there was much speculation over the announcement and the schools, parents as well as children are anxious to know more about the same.

    Lord Gautam Buddha also practiced and preached Vipassana which is said to be an ancient meditation technique of India that provides peace of mind and happiness.
