West Bengal Board Class 11 Business Studies Syllabus 2024-25: In the state of West Bengal, the body entrusted with the administration of education is the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. The Council has made available the latest syllabus for students of class 11 for the academic session 2024-25. As per the Board’s website, the council takes care of- periodic assessment of the educational needs at Higher Secondary level at the state and laying down the general policy for the development of the Higher Secondary Education; upgradation of institutions to Plus 2 level; renewal of recognition of recognized HS Institutions; granting permission to teach subjects at the recognized HS Institutions; granting permission for co-education, excess admission, medium change etc; providing the curriculum, syllabus, the courses of studies to be followed and the books to be studied in the HS curriculum; undertake the preparation, publication and sale of textbooks and other books; conduct the Higher Secondary Examination and publication of result and awarding of certificates and scholarship thereof.

To inculcate business attitude and develop skills among students to pursue higher education, world of work including self employment. To develop students with an understanding of the processes of business and its environment. To acquaint students with the dynamic nature and inter-dependent aspects of business. To develop an interest in the theory and practice of business, trade and industry. To familiarize students with theoretical foundations of the process of organizing and managing the operations of a business firm. To help students appreciate the economic and social significance of business activity and the social cost and benefits arising therefrom. To acquaint students with the practice of managing the operations and resources of business. To enable students to act more effectively and responsibly as consumers, employers, employees and citizens. |
