A: For recruitment as probationary officer in Allahabad Bank, a candidate should satisfy the following conditions-
(i) a citizen of India,
(ii) a subject of Nepal,
(iii) subject of Bhutan,
(iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India,
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination/ interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificates have been issued to him by the govt of India.
Educational qualification: Graduate from a recognised University or any equivalent exam recognised as such by Govt of India with 2nd class (with minimum of 55% marks in graduation, 45% in respect of SC/ST/VH/HI/OH candidates). Candidates whose result is awaited are not eligible and should have passed qualified exam on the said cut off date.
The minimum age of the candidate as on 1st Jan 2011 should be between 21 years and 30 years.
