Indian Railways and National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) have partnered to promote the 'One India-One Ticket' initiative. This collaboration will develop an integrated booking system, allowing passengers to travel seamlessly between Indian Railways and RRTS services. Which aims to simplify travel for passengers using both mainline railway services and Namo Bharat trains.

2. (a) Jagdeep Dhankhar

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar flagged off the Har Ghar Tiranga Bike Rally from Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi this morning. Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju were also present on the occasion. The rally will end at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium.

Sandeep Poundrik recently took charge as Secretary, Ministry of Steel at Udyog Bhawan. He is a 1993 batch IAS officer from Bihar cadre. Paundrik was holding the charge of Additional Chief Secretary in the Industries Department and was also holding additional charge of several other posts in the Bihar government.

has joined hands with national broadcaster Prasar Bharati to broadcast Big Cricket League (BCL), a franchise-based T20 event. The inaugural edition of BCL will be held in Lucknow in September this year. BCL will provide local players an opportunity to play alongside their cricket heroes.

The 10th edition of the joint military exercise 'Exercise Mitra Shakti' between the armies of India and Sri Lanka is being organised from 12-25 August at the Training School, Maduru Oya.  Joint Exercise 'Mitra Shakti' is an annual training event held alternately in India and Sri Lanka. Its last edition was held in Pune in November 2023.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has awarded the ICC Men's Player of the Month award for July 2024 to Gus Atkinson of England and the Women's Player of the Month award to Chamari Athapaththu of Sri Lanka. England's Test debutant Gus Atkinson won the award for his brilliant bowling against the West Indies.
