Darvis Patton, the US sprinter and two time Olympic Medalist retired

Darvis Patton, the US sprinter on 18 November 2013 announced his retirement after 13 years career. He won the Olympic silver medal as part of the 4x100 relay teams in the 2004 Athens Olympics and in London Olympics in 2012.

He was a part of the team of US that won the sprint relay gold at the Paris world championship and Osaka in 2003 and 2007, respectively.

• He became the sixth fastest man to run 100 meters at the 2013 Texas Relays
• He was elected to the USATF Board of Directors as the Athletes Advisory Committee representative in 2012
• He was born in 4 December 1977
