IIFL (India Infoline) Group on 18 March 2011 launched a financial education and awareness initiative, FLAME (Financial Literacy Agenda for Mass Empowerment). FLAME is a year-long programme started by IIFL (India Infoline) Group with an investment outlay of Rs 25 crore. The financial education and awareness programme include various workshops and other activities. The programme would serve as a platform for investors to bring to the financial queries and concerns. A typical workshop would include 75-100 investors.
FLAME forms a part of IIFL's endeavour to reach out to as many people as possible and address their queries and concerns in financial services. As part of the campaign IIFL would also contact various B-schools and hold lectures for the graduating students.
The programme will also include a media-campaign in various languages to be rolled-out on a pan-India basis. The first leg would consist of a team of 10 executives fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
The objective of FLAME is to empower investors with the right information to enable them to take the right decisions to further their financial prosperity.
