India and China inked 3 agreements including one to facilitate setting up of Chinese Industrial

India and China signed three agreements in the fields of commerce, water resources and human resources development.

India and China on 30 June 2014 signed three agreements in the fields of commerce, water resources and human resources development. The signed agreements will facilitate China to set up industrial parks, share hydrological information during Brahmaputra floods and impart training to public officials.

These agreements were signed after delegation level talks between Hamid Ansari, the Vice President of India and his Chinese counterpart Li Yuanchao at Chinese Parliament called Great Hall of People in Beijing. Hamid Ansari was on a visit to China from 26 June to 30 June 2014.

Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation on Industrial Parks in India

Signed between Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China to further expand the scope of bilateral trade and investment cooperation, and promote cooperation between Chinese and Indian enterprises including the development of industrial parks in India so as to provide a platform for cluster type development of the enterprises of both countries.

Signed between Central Water Commission and the Bureau of Hydrology and Water Resources this document states that Chinese side will provide hydrological information of Yarlung Zangbu/ Brahmaputra River in flood season to the Indian side, and the Indian side will provide the Chinese side information regarding data utilization in flood forecasting and mitigation and the information of the related hydrological stations.
