IT Provider Accenture Won Contract from Nagaland

IT service provider Accenture on 20 December announced that it bagged a 42-month IT contract from the Government of Nagaland to implement the State's public service Web site. Accenture will design a web portal which would be used to bridge the gap between the government and citizens. The site will provide for enhanced and efficient delivery of information and services through a common platform for speedy resolution of questions and demands. The portal will serve as a platform for citizen to perform transactions online like place request for birth and domicile certificates. The portal can also be used to get information on the state’s events. The site to be designed by Accenture will help the Nagaland government to share important information and social programmes with citizens in even the most remote locations as well as anticipate and meet future governance requirements while reducing administrative costs.
