Which Indian Village Got Gold Medal?
The Gram Panchayat will be given the award at the 28th National e-Government Conference in Visakhapatnam on June 9, 2025, after being chosen from more than 1.45 lakh entries submitted throughout India in the Grassroots Level Initiatives category.
Under the National e-Government Awards 2025's "Grassroots Level Initiatives" category, Rohini Gram Panchayat has been given the Gold Award. The award is to be presented by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj and the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG). The community is renowned for introducing more than 956 digital services and is a prime example of digital inclusion, particularly for Scheduled Areas.
Digital Initiatives Adopted by Indian Village
This project is based in a fully tribal area in the Dhule district of Maharashtra.
It has created a completely online system to provide important government services easily.
