Mansi Priya, a Student from Jharkand won the National Children Innovation Award 2012

Mansi Priya, a young student from Jharkand won the National Children Innovation Award (IGNITE) for 2012 for her innovative idea of user friendly pedal rickshaw.

Along with Mansi priya a total 29 students received the IGNITE 2012 Innovation Awards fro their creative ideas.

About the Awards

The IGNITE-an annual competition organised by the National Innovation Foundation India (NIF) in association with Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Society for Research and Initiatives in Sustainable Technologies and Institutions (SRISTI), various State Education Boards and other partners.

In the competition, school students shared their innovative ideas and offered solutions on issues local and global.

The IGNITE 2012 contest saw participation of students from 282 districts of 30 States and Union Territories of the country with 14889 entries being received. The awards were announced on 15 October 2012, the birth day of children’s favorite Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, celebrated as the Children’s Creativity and Innovation Day by National Innovation Foundation India (NIF).
