Microsoft signs agreement to acquire LinkedIn for $26.2 billion

As per the agreement, Microsoft will acquire LinkedIn for 196 dollar per share in an all-cash transaction valued at 26.2 billion dollar, inclusive of LinkedIn’s net cash.

Microsft and LinkedinMicrosoft Corporation and LinkedIn Corporation on 13 June 2016 announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement.

As per the agreement, Microsoft will acquire LinkedIn for 196 dollar per share in an all-cash transaction valued at 26.2 billion dollar, inclusive of LinkedIn’s net cash. However, LinkedIn will retain its distinct brand, culture and independence.
