Nikolay Kudashev appointed as Russia's Ambassador to India

The appointment of Kudashev came seven months after the death of Russia's previous Ambassador to India Alexander Kadakin.

Career diplomat Nikolay Kudashev was on 18 August 2017 appointed as the Russia's Ambassador to India. His appointment was approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The appointment of Kudashev came seven months after the death of Russia's previous Ambassador to India Alexander Kadakin. After his sudden demise, Anatoly Kargapolov represented Russia in New Delhi as Charge d’Affairs.

Kudashev, a specialist in South East Asia, is currently serving as the Deputy Director General Secretariat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

Kudashev was the Russian Ambassador to Micronesia and the Marshall Islands in 2014-2015.
