Mann ki Baat live today: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation through his monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on November 28, 2021. This was the 83rd episode of Mann ki Baat and the second last edition of the year 2021.

PM Modi began his address by hailing the country's armed forces and remembering all the brave hearts, as India will be celebrating the golden jubilee year of the 1971 war on December 16th.

He also spoke about Amrit Mahotsav, saying that along with learning, it also inspires us to do something for the country. He said that throughout the country, the resonance of the Amrit Mahotsav is palpable especially with programmes in connection with the Mahotsav going on successively.

On Nature

The Prime Minister then highlighted the importance of conserving nature in the Mann ki baat live today, saying when we conserve nature, it gives us protection and security in return. He highlighted that nature poses a threat to us only when we disturb her balance or destroy her sanctity.

He gave an example of the same by talking about a traditional river in Jalaun – Noon River. He said that the Noon River, which used to be the main source of water for the farmers reached the verge of extinction, which created an irrigation crisis for the farmers. He then highlighted how the people of Jalaun took the initiative to turn around the situation.

A committee was formed in March this year and thousands of villagers and local people spontaneously volunteered to join the campaign and today, in such a short time and low cost, the river has come to back again. The Prime Minister said that this is an example of 'sabka saath, sabka vikas.'

He also highlighted how many coastal areas are prone to land submersion and there are many small islands and islets in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, which were increasingly facing the danger of submerging in the sea. The people and experts there found the mitigation from the natural disaster through nature itself. PM Modi highlighted that these people are now planting Palmyra trees on these islands. The trees are known to stand firm even in cyclones and storms and give protection to the soil.

PM Modi further stressed that whatever natural resources are around us, we should save them, bring them back to their actual form. He said, "in this lies the interests of all of us, interests of the world."

On Governance

The Prime Minister highlighted in the Mann ki Baat live today that when the government makes plans, spends the budget, completes the projects on time, people feel that it is working. He said with the efforts of the government, with the schemes of the government, the way life changed… what is the experience of that changed life? When we hear this, we too are filled with empathy.

He said that it also gives satisfaction to the mind and gives inspiration too to take that scheme to the people. He said this is what I seek from life, "Don’t want to be in power, my goal is to serve people.”

On Youth & Startups

The Prime Minister highlighted that in every country with a large youth population, three aspects matter a lot-

-Ideas and Innovation

-Spirit of taking risks

-Can do spirit

He said that when these three things combine, phenomenal results are produced and miracles happen.

PM Modi highlighted that this is the era of start-up and in the world of start-up, India is leading in a way in the world today. He stated that start-ups are getting record investments year after year.

He highlighted that the sector is progressing very fast and the reach of start-ups has increased even in small towns of the country. He highlighted how there are over 70 startups in India today that have crossed the valuation of USD 1 billion. He said that this is a big thing because the youth have achieved this success amid a pandemic.

The Prime Minister further highlighted in the mann ki baat today that the Indian youth is also contributing to the solution of global problems through start-ups.
