The President of India, Pranab Mukherjee presented the Hindi Sevi Samman Awards to 26 eminent Hindi scholars for the year 2015 on 30 May 2017at a function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries including the Union Minister of Human Resource Development, Prakash Javadekar.
The awards were conferred to the scholars under 12 different categories for their contribution in the field of Hindi language and literature.
Background
The Hindi Sevi Samman Awards were established by the Central Hindi Institute, Agra in 1989.
The awards carry a cash prize of five lakh rupees and citation.
