Rajasthan: 5170 Bharat Nirman Rajeev Gandhi Seva Kendras became Operational

Government of Rajasthan made 5170 Bharat Nirman Rajeev Gandhi Seva Kendras operational across 9100 Village Panchayats of Rajasthan from 20 April 2013. The facilities included in the Seva Kendras include MG NREGA Payments, depositing of various utility bills. These kendras will also facilitate Agricultural Consultation to people as per their requirements.

The Seva Kendras were made operational at an expense of 1000 crore rupees and will be functional as Knowledge centres. The rural people and farmers can avail facilities of getting land record, mini bank, post office as well as advice for water and irrigation techniques at these kendras. Public Hearing helping centres were also created at all these Kendras.

These centers will register the complaints of the common people against Government Departments and the hearing on the same will be conducted on every Friday by the concerned department.

The State Government also started a special social pension campaign in the state from 20 April 2013. Under this campaign, camps will be established for identifying and sanctioning pension to senior citizens, BPL, divorcee, widows and persons of Saharia, Kathodi and Khairwa tribes.
