Reliance Games on 11 March 2013 acquired two gaming companies, one each in Japan and South Korea.
Reliance Games which is the key content initiative of Reliance Entertainment fully acquired a Japanese mobile game distribution company, Funnel Japan, and pulled out upto 51 per cent stake in Busan, Korea-based gaming development and publishing company Bluesom Inc. which marked the company’s foray into two top markets.

The deal marks the Group’s entry into the world’s largest (Japan, with a market size of 5.5 billion dollar) and the second largest mobile gaming markets (Korea, with a market size of 1.3 billion dollar)
Funnel develop, publish, channel, and market free to play web games and mobile applications and every kind of digital contents all across Asia. It is a game distribution company with around 10 people, While Bluesom is games studio with around 35 employees.
Reliance is planning to launch the first mobile game in Japan by April 2013 with other two by June-July. 2013. It will also launch its Hollywood IP-based localised games for these markets.
The next focus of the company will be China and Taiwan, as the Japanese company already has presence in these markets.
