Tata-Sikorsky Joint Venture

The Tata-Sikorsky joint venture to manufacture aerospace components and systems at the Aerospace Park near Hyderabad would bring out products from November 2010. The announcement was made at MAN'EXE, the 7th leadership series on manufacturing excellence organised by the CII on 18 August 2010 by Kanna Lakshminarayana, Minister of Industries, Andhra Pradesh .  Tata Advanced Systems, the Tata Group company had established a venture with Sikorsky Aircraft of US to manufacture aerospace components in India. Under the joint venture manufacturing unit at the Aerospace & Precision Engineering SEZ (special economic zone) at Adibatla village was set up. The manufacturing unit would produce components and assembling Sikorsky S-92 helicopter cabins and components for other aerospace OEMs.
