Tillakaratne Dilshan and Upul Tharanga Scored Record Runs for the First Wicket in World Cup

Sri Lankan cricketer, Tillakaratne Dilshan and fellow opener Upul Tharanga together on 10 March 2011 cracked a record 282 for the opening wicket in world cup cricket history.

Dilshan then took four wickets in four overs. Dilshan’s off-spin helped his team win a crushing 139-run win over a hapless Zimbabwe in their World Cup Group A game.

 

Tillakaratne Dilshan made 144 runs while Upul Tharanga was equally good scoring his career-best 133.
