Cabinet approves MoU between India & Cambodia for cooperation in health sector

The Union Cabinet has granted its approval for signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Cambodia for cooperation in field of health and medicine. The MoU is expected to boost cooperation between both the nations through joint initiatives.

Indian Army launches Software for Infrastructure Management

The Chief of Army Staff on October 28, 2020 inaugurated the ‘Infrastructure Management System’ software. The software was launched during the Army Commanders Conference. This system is expected to empower all the stakeholders to increase transparency and enhance accountability.

Cabinet grants approval to extension of norms for packaging in Jute Material

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has given its approval to extension of norms for mandatory packaging of food items in jute materials. With this decision, 100% of food grains and 20% of sugar will now be mandatorily packed in jute bags. Initially, Government would place reverse auction for jute bags to pack foodgrains on the Gem portal.

President signs ordinance to set up commission to manage Delhi-NCR air quality

President Ram Nath Kovind signed an ordinance on October 28, 2020 to constitute a Commission to manage Air Quality of Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR). The commission will identify and resolve the problems surrounding Air Quality Index of national capital and adjoining areas.
