The Union government allocated 150 crore rupees as interim relief for the flood affected people of Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Vijay Bahuguna also demanded a special relief fund from the Centre.

Uttarakhand government has enhanced immediate relief amount to 5400 rupees from earlier announced 2700 rupees for the people hit by national calamity. Besides, this 20 crore rupees has already been sanctioned for relief purpose.
