USA Set the Deadline to withdraw its Forces from Afghanistan

USA has planned to withdraw its forces from Afghanistan by 2014. Under the plan US will transfer the security duties to Afghanistan’s forces in selected areas of the country

USA has planned to withdraw its forces from Afghanistan by 2014. Under the plan US will transfer the security duties to Afghanistan’s forces in selected areas of the country over the 18 to 24 months. At present, 100000 US forces is stationed in Afghanistan. US withdrawal from Afghanistan is likely to be similar with US withdrawal from Iraq.
USA will present its forces withdrawal plan in the NATO summit going to take place in Lisbon capital of Portugal. USA is under pressure because Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai recently criticized US’ military presence in Afghanistan.
