1. (b) B. srinivasan

Senior IPS officer B. Srinivasan was appointed as the Director General (DG) of the country's counter-terrorism force, the National Security Guard (NSG). Srinivasan is a 1992 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Bihar cadre. The appointment has been approved from the date Srinivasan assumed charge of the post till the date of his retirement on August 31, 2027.

2. (c) Karthik Venkataraman

Karthik Venkataraman won the 61st edition of the Indian National Championship by scoring 9/11 points in the event organised by the Haryana Chess Association. This is the second win at the National Championship for Karthik, who also won the tournament in the year 2022.

3. (b) Bangladesh

Bangladesh team has won the title of SAFF (South Asian Football Federation) Under-20 Championship Football Tournament. This is the first time that Bangladesh has won this championship. Along with Nepal and Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Maldives and Bhutan participated in this competition.

Recently, the Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW) organised the 7th Anubhav Awards ceremony to recognize the contributions made by Central Government employees during their service. Established in March 2015, the Anubhav Portal serves as an online platform for retired and retired government employees to share their experiences.

India's medal account has opened with gold at the Paris Paralympics 2024, in shooting, Avani Lekhara repeated history by winning the gold medal in the 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 event. While Mona Agarwal won the bronze medal with 228.7 points. Avni performed brilliantly this time and created a new Paralympic record with 249.7 points.

The names of eight railway stations under Lucknow division in Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh have been officially changed. This change was notified by the Union Railway Ministry on Tuesday. The famous Nihalgarh railway station located in Amethi area has been renamed as Maharaja Bijli Pasi railway station.

Indian Railway Management Service officer Satish Kumar has been appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Railway Board. Presently, he is working as Member (Traction & Rolling Stock). His appointment will be effective from September 01 next month till the date of his retirement and his re-appointment on contract basis will be from January 1 to August 31 next year.

8. (b) Madhya Pradesh

Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying George Kurien has been declared elected unopposed from the only Rajya Sabha seat of Madhya Pradesh. The Union Minister met MP Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reached the state assembly in the presence of BJP state president VD Sharma and received the certificate of being elected from Returning Officer Arvind Sharma.

9. (b) Union Bank of India

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Union Bank of India to provide vehicle financing solutions. Under this, customers can get financing up to 90 percent on the on-road price of any Toyota vehicle.

10. (b) Ministry of Women and Child Development

Union Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi launched the new SHe-Box portal, a centralised platform aimed at making workplaces safer for women by resolving sexual harassment complaints.
