The legendary pop music star Michael Jackson (50) died on June 25. Jackson, referred to as the King of Pop, was the most commercially successful entertainer of all time. His unique contributions to music, dance, and fashion, along with a highly publicized personal life, made him a prominent global figure in popular culture for over three decades. His 1982 album ‘Thriller’ which included the blockbuster hits ‘Beat It,’ ‘Billie Jean’ and ‘Thriller’ — is the bestselling album of all time, with an estimated 50 million copies sold worldwide. Along with his success Jackson had some legal troubles later in his career including child molestation charges. His personal relationships and life generated controversies for years.
His death brought an end to a turbulent and bizarre life of a star. He was preparing for his scheduled comeback concert in London between July and March, 2010 before his death.
