How to Settle Traffic Challans at Lok Adalat?
Step-by-Step Process
- Download Challans:
- Visit the Delhi Traffic Police website:
- The link is activated on March 3, 2025, at 10 AM
- A total of 1,80,000 challans/notices will be processed
- Print the Challans:
- Carry a printout of the downloaded challan/notice to the Lok Adalat
- No printout facility will be available at court premises
- Visit the Designated Court:
- As per the court number mentioned in the challan printout
- Attend the hearing at the allotted time slot
- Get Challan Settled:
- Pay the settled amount as per the decision of the Lok Adalat bench
Important Guidelines
- Only compoundable offences can be settled at Lok Adalat.
- Non-compoundable/cognisable offences (heinous crimes) must go through regular court proceedings.
- Traffic notices/challans allowed per vehicle:
- Private Vehicles: 5 notices + 2 challans
- Commercial Vehicles: 2 notices/challans
