While the West Indies T20 World Cup squad has been announced, every team has the flexibility to make changes until May 25th. Any alterations after that date will require special permission from the ICC's Event Technical Committee.

McCoy, the leading wicket-taker during the West Indies A team's recent tour to Nepal with 8 wickets in 5 matches, will be hoping to impress on the biggest stage. While Desmond Haynes, Lead Selector of West Indies, acknowledged Holder's absence will be felt, he also sees this as an opportunity for McCoy.
