This time, big stalwarts have been fielded as candidates for different seats by the AAP, BJP, and Congress political parties.

In this article, we will read about these candidates contesting five seats in Delhi, on whom everyone's eyes will be on.

Delhi Election 2025: Tough competition in the electoral battle

The election for the assembly this time is crucial. The AAP will strive to keep its presence in Delhi, on the one hand. Conversely, the Congress and BJP will attempt to reclaim their lost ground. Therefore, these three significant political parties find this election to be crucial.

New Delhi Constituency

AAP party convenor and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is contesting from the New Delhi seat. BJP has fielded Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma against him, and Congress has fielded Sandeep Dixit. Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma is the son of former Delhi Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma, while Sandeep Dixit is the son of former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit. All three are considered strong contenders for the next Chief Minister of Delhi.

Jangpura  Constituency

The political struggle of Manish Sisodia, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, will also be closely watched. He was the target of numerous accusations, which forced him to resign from his position and serve time in prison. He is contesting this time from the Jangpura constituency. He is opposed by Tarvinder Singh Marwah of the BJP, and Farhad Suri of the Congress party.

Bijwasan Constituency

In this election, all eyes will be on the Bijwasan seat. Kailash Gehlot previously served as a minister in the Delhi government under the AAP party. However, before the elections, he changed his political affiliation and joined the BJP. The BJP has fielded him in Bijwasan. He is up against Surendra Bhardwaj from the AAP and Devendra Sehrawat from the Congress.

Patparganj Constituency

Former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was the MLA from this seat earlier. Awadh Ojha is a famous name in the coaching industry for prestigious posts like IAS/IPS. He also remains in discussions for his statements on social media. Before the elections, he joined hands with the Aam Aadmi Party. He has been fielded from Patparganj's seat by AAP. He is pitted against Ravindra Singh Negi from the BJP and Chaudhary Anil Kumar from Congress.

Kalkaji Constituency

All eyes will be on Delhi's Kalkaji seat. Because Delhi's current Chief Minister, Atishi, is contesting for this seat on behalf of the AAP. Simultaneously, veteran BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri is against her.
