Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla of the Indian Air Force (IAF) is set to create history by becoming the first Indian astronaut to travel as a Pilot to the International Space Station (ISS). He will pilot Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4), a joint initiative between NASA, ISRO, and Axiom Space. The mission is scheduled for spring 2025 aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft from Florida.
