CAT 2021: As per the exam date, IIM Ahmedabad will be conducting Common Admission Test (CAT) on 28th November. The MBA entrance exam will be conducted in three sessions - forenoon session (8:30 am to 10:30 am), Afternoon session (12:30 pm to 2:30 pm) and evening session (4:30 pm to 6:30 pm). To hold the exam without any difficulty, the exam conducting body has released CAT 2021 guidelines and instructions to be followed by the candidates on the day of the exam. The authorities have released the test day guidelines along with admit card for the CAT exam to help candidates familiarise themselves with what to carry at exam centres.
Candidates, as per a CAT 2021 test day workflow released by the exam conducting body, will be frisked with handheld metal detectors at the entrance of the CAT exam centres. Security personnel, both male and female, would be available to frisk candidates on the CAT entrance gates. The exam conducting body will allow only documents prescribed by them. Candidates are required to follow certain guidelines on the day of the CAT exam for its smooth conduct.
CAT 2021 Document Verification
The admit card of CAT is the most important documents to be carried on the exam day. The authorities wILL not take into consideration the soft copy of the admit card, instead, it must be printed on A4 size paper. Without carrying the CAT hall ticket, candidates will not be allowed in the exam centre. The exam conducting body will allow only documents including CAT 2021 admit card, a valid photo identity card and medical certificate and scribe affidavit (if required) and mask and sanitiser beyond the frisking point.
After the frisking process is completed, candidates will have to verify documents at the desks allotted for the purpose at the CAT exam centres. The candidate’s CAT 2021 admit card with affixed photograph, an original and valid photo identity proof and other documents (if any) will be checked at the desks. After the conduction of the exam, candidates can check their scores by using CAT Percentile Predictor. With this they will get to know their percentile and chances of getting into the top B-schools.

According to an official statement: "Candidates must produce at least one original (not photocopied or scanned) valid (not expired) photo identification (ID) card (such as College ID, Employer ID, Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhar Card or Identification Affidavit) along with the Admit Card. The Candidate's photograph and signature should be legibly printed and visible on the photo ID card and should match with the name on the Admit Card. Please note that the photo ID card should not be damaged or smudged. Medical certificate would be required in the case of a Candidate using (a) Pacemaker or (b) implants (metal) or (c) other device(s) for Medical reason(s)."
CAT 2021 Registration Process
After the verification of documents, the CAT test takers will be asked to proceed for the iris and photo registration. During the CAT registration process on the exam day, the candidate’s iris and photograph will be captured. During this process, candidates will be required to remove their glasses/contact lenses. CAT aspirants have to sign the CAT 2021 attendance sheet.
