Chandigarh University has announced the new admission policy for the 2020-21 academic sessions at the university. Under this, the students who wish to apply for the engineering and MBA programmes at the university have to appear for the National level entrance examination – CUCET 2020.
The admission policy was announced by Chandigarh University Vice-Chancellor Dr. RS Bawa. The university at present offers 15 undergraduate engineering programmes, 6 Industry Collaborative Engineering programmes, and 7 MBA specialization programmes.
University Vice-Chancellor Dr. RS Bawa has stated that the CUCET 2020 examination will not only help in making the students eligible for the admissions but also offer academic scholarships of up to 100 percent for more than 109 programmes which are offered by the university.
The scholarships offered are worth Rs. 27 crores which will be offered to the students as per the merit in the entrance examination. CUCET 2020 will be conducted in three phases.
The first phase will be conducted in November and is presently on until December 20, 22019. More than 15000 students have filled the applications for the online entrance test until now. The second phase will be conducted from January to April 2020 while the final phase will be conducted from May to July 2020.
The university vice-chancellor has also pointed out that the main highlight of the CUCET 2020 examination is that the online examination is that the students will be able to appear for the examination from the comfort of their homes on the date and time of their choice as they will be monitored through an intelligent and smart invigilation process.
