Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has presented the Delhi Education Budget 2021. The minister has stated that the budget is a ‘Deshbhakti Budget’ considering the centre's celebration of India’s 75th year of Independence with 75 weeks ‘Deshbhakti Mahotsav; which begins from March 12, 2021.
The Delhi Education Budget 2021 will focus on India’s 75 years of Independence. As per the budget announced, Delhi will get its first Sainik School along with Delhi Armed Forces Preparatory Academy. The students will be provided with NDA coaching along with regular studies.
Highlights of Delhi Education Budget 2021
Delhi will be getting its first Sainik School along with Delhi Armed Forces Preparatory Academy. The new syllabus for the students from Nursery to class 8 will be introduced while 100 new schools of excellence will be created in Delhi.
Delhi will also be creating the country’s first ‘Virtual Delhi Model School’ which will offer anytime learning with the country’s first teachers university training the teachers with international standards.
The government will also be introducing an entrepreneurship Mindset syllabus for children from classes 9 and 12. The government will also be opening in different parts of Delhi 100 schools of Specialized Excellence.

According to media reports, close to Rs. 16,377 which approximately counts to one-fourth of the total budget is allocated to the Education Sector in Delhi and the budget stands out to be the most focussed budget of the government this year.
The budget focuses on 3 major steps this year to further elevate the quality of education in schools, the first step being to prepare an entirely new syllabus for the students from nursery to class 8. The second step is to establish Delhi’s own Education Examination Board while the third is to set up 100 Schools of Excellence in Delhi.

Outcome Budget 2021
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia presented the Outcome Budget 2021 pointing to education, health, PWD, and environment departments as top performers. The education minister has also assured that the Delhi government will be the first to give an account of the budget to the people.
The performance report of the Delhi Budget has shown that 84 percent of education indicators were ‘on track; which means that 75 percent target was achieved. The budget has been thoroughly planned on the data mentioned.
