Delhi Government To Set Up Delhi Teacher's University, Admissions From 2022-23

Delhi Teachers University to be set up

Delhi Teacher's University: As per the updates, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that the cabinet has approved the establishment of new Delhi Teacher's University in the national capital to train ‘new generation teachers’. The chief minister said that the decision was taken to train “excellent quality teachers” for the students. The bill to establish the university will be presented in the next assembly session.

He also said that, “Our aim is to prepare excellent quality teachers. This will be a centre for excellence. We will arrange national and international level collaborations with best institutes across the world.”

"It is decided that the Delhi government will set up a 'Teachers University', through which new generation teachers will be trained. The admissions will start in the 2022-23 session. It will be run in collaboration with international organizations," the Delhi CM wrote on Twitter.

 

 

Delhi Teacher's University

The admission process in Delhi Teacher's University will begin in the 2022-23 academic year. The university will have four-year integrated teacher education programmes - BA-BEd, BSc-Ed and BCom-BEd, the Chief Minister has informed. Candidates can take admission to the university after Class 12th. Students of the university will get practical training at Delhi government schools.

Collaboration with the best National and International Institutes

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal also stated, “Delhi Teachers University will also collaborate with the best national and international institutes and it will also research on the best teaching techniques. The decision was taken with the aim to train the best teachers for the students.”

Delhi Nursery Admissions

The Delhi Education Department has released the registration form for nursery admissions in nearly 1,800 private schools across the national capital on 15th December 2021. While most of the schools are selling admission forms online, the same can also be purchased directly from the school premises for the convenience of parents. They can register at edudel.nic.in. The last date to fill the application form for Delhi Nursery admission is 7th January 2022.
