GATE 2025 Exam: IIT Roorkee shifts Prayagraj Center to Lucknow for Feb 15, 16 due to Mahakumbh, Details Here

GATE-2025: The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) has announced a change in the examination centers for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025, affecting candidates scheduled to appear on February 15 and 16. Due to the large congregation expected at the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, the examination centers for candidates previously allotted to Prayagraj have now been shifted to Lucknow.

GATE 2025 Fresh Admit Cards Issued

IIT Roorkee has also released revised admit cards for the affected candidates. Candidates must download their new admit cards from the official GATE 2025 Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) portal. The official notice on the website reads, “GATE-2025 exam centers changed to Lucknow for candidates who were earlier allotted Prayagraj for 15th and 16th February 2025 amid Mahakumbh. The candidates are advised to download the freshly released admit cards from the GOAPS portal.”

How to Download the Revised GATE 2025 Admit Card?

Candidates who were assigned Prayagraj as their examination center should follow these steps to download their updated admit cards:

Step 1: Visit the official GATE 2025 website: gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the applicant's login link available on the homepage.

Step 3: Log in using the required credentials.

Step 4: Download the fresh admit card.

Step 5: Print a copy of the admit card for future reference.

Previous Examination Center Changes

This is not the first change in the GATE 2025 examination centers due to the Mahakumbh. IIT Roorkee had earlier shifted examination centers for candidates appearing in Prayagraj on February 1 and 2. Now, with the new changes affecting the February 15 and 16 exams, all Prayagraj candidates for GATE 2025 have been reassigned to Lucknow.

GATE 2025 Exam and Result Date

GATE 2025 is being conducted on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, with results expected to be announced in March 2025. The examination is a crucial gateway for candidates aspiring for postgraduate admissions and recruitment in public sector undertakings (PSUs).
