Gujarat Schools Reopening

Gujarat Schools: As per the updates, the Gujarat government has decided to continue online teaching for the students of classes 1 to 9. The online classes will continue till 5th February 2022 amid the prevailing COVID-19 situation. The decision was taken by the State Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in a meeting of the core committee held in Gandhinagar.

The decision to continue online classes was taken in the larger interest of the students. Also, the decision regarding the school reopening will be taken on 5th February 2022.

The decision to Close Schools in Gujarat

Following a sudden rise in COVID-19 cases in the state, the government on 7th January decided against allowing in-person classes at schools for classes 1 to 9 till 31st January 2022. The decision has been taken to curb the spread of coronavirus in the state, and for the protection of students.

Further, the decision to continue online classes has been taken in the larger interest of the students and their health, the government said.

The state government, in its decision, further stated that coaching centres for students Class 9 upwards and those for post-graduate courses as well as competitive exams can run at 50 percent capacity.

COVID-19 Cases Updates in Gujarat

A fresh decision about offline education will be taken on 5th February, the release added Gujarat on Monday recorded 6,679 COVID-19 cases, the lowest since 10th January taking the tally in the state to 11,60,659, as per the state health department.

Other States School Reopening Updates

Several states in the country have decided to reopen schools from 1st February or the first week of February. State governments have allowed the reopening of schools from next month is Telangana, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Haryana, Chandigarh among others.

GUJCET 2022

Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has released the GUJCET 2022 application form at the official website - gseb.org. Like previous sessions of the examination, the registration process for the 2022 session of the Gujarat Common Entrance Test for BTech and BPharm admissions is being held online.

To appear for the entrance exam, candidates must fill out the GUJCET 2022 application form before the last date which is 5th February. GUJCET 2022 will be conducted in pen-paper based examination.
