Candidates should note that IGNOU holds re-registration only for those students who are already enrolled in a programme offered by the university. To clarify this point, the university has issued a statement which reads “Re-registration means registering for next year/semester of a Programme. So it is applicable only to students enrolled in undergraduate / postgraduate / semester-based programmes of two-three year duration”. Candidates should also note that they are eligible for re-registration for next semester of their programme, even if they have not completed or submitted assignments for the same.
How to re-register for IGNOU July 2020 Session using Samarth Portal?
The newly launched Samarth Portal of IGNOU has really simplified the registration process for next semester or year for existing students. However, as a one-time step, students who were registered on the old portal will have to create a new account on the Samarth portal to ensure that their academic history is mapped correctly. Thereafter, they can log onto Samarth portal using your login credentials and re-register for the courses of which they are part of.
