Jharkhand School Reopening: As per the updates, Jharkhand State Government has decided to reopen schools for the students of classes 6 to 8. The state school will reopen from 20th September 2021. The state government has taken this decision because of the declining cases of COVID-19 in the state. The schools will reopen with strict adherence to standard operating procedures issued by the government. The state education secretary had earlier directed schools to start sanitization work for holding classes. Also, as per the notice issued by Jharkhand Disaster Management Division, the classes in schools will now continue in blended mode, i.e., online and offline. Jharkhand reported 35 new COVID 19 cases in the last 24 hours.
Jharkhand School SOPs Guidelines
As per the SOPs issued by the state government, group activities are prohibited from maintaining social distancing inside the campus. Wearing a mask covering the mouth and nostrils is mandatory for all the students, teachers, and staff attending offline classes. Additionally, COVID-19 vaccination is a compulsory requirement for all the teachers and staff to conduct any campus activities.
The state government has issued fresh COVID-19 guidelines and protocols for Jharkhand schools. The student's attendance is not mandatory as classes would continue through both online and offline modes. However, students must submit consent letters from their respective parents to attend on-campus classes in Jharkhand schools.
Jharkhand Schools Reopened For Classes 9th and 12th
Jharkhand schools have been asked to use air conditioning in classrooms as minimum as possible; instead, fresh air ventilation is preferred. Earlier, the government had reopened classes for classes 9 to 12 students on 2nd August 2021. However, the attendance has been very thin in higher classes since its reopening. The schools have been ordered to limit offline classes to 4 hours and only till 12 pm.
