The JoSAA 2026 cutoff (Opening and closing ranks) for all participating colleges will be out today, June 13, anytime soon.

This program is for people who're from the SC and the ST and for people, with disabilities or PwD. If there are still seats after everyone else has been given a chance to take them then these people can take a one year course to get ready.

When they finish this course they can start their undergraduate program at an IIT in the year. They get to go into the first year of this program. This is an opportunity for SC and ST and PwD candidates to get an education at an IIT.

JoSAA 2026 round 1 seat allotment result will be released soon at josaa.nic.in. The official release time is 10 am, but there's a slight delay. 

Candidates need the following documents to be uploaded during JoSAA counselling:

• Class X Certificate or Birth Certificate for age proof.
• Class XII Mark Sheet and Certificate.
• JEE Main/Advanced Admit Card.
• Category or PwD Certificates, if applicable.
• Medical Certificate.
• Crossed bank cheque copy for potential refunds

The online reporting period for Round 1, which includes document upload, fee payment, and query response, concludes on June 26, 2026, at 17:00 IST. Issues related to fee payments will be resolved by June 29, 2026, at 1:00 pm.

The JoSAA 2026 opening and closing ranks will be uploaded soon after the seat allotment result is announced. The round 1 allotment will be out at 10 am on June 13, and the round 1 cutoff release will follow shortly after at josaa.nic.in.

If you don't get a seat in JoSAA Round 1, you do not need to take any action. You are automatically moved to Round 2 with your original choices.

The Opening Rank is the rank of the student who gets in. The Closing Rank is the rank of the student who gets in for that specific seat category. This means the Opening Rank and the Closing Rank are important, for the seat category. The Opening Rank and the Closing Rank tell us which students get the seats.

However they may still participate in subsequent rounds through the Float or Slide options, subject to JoSAA rules.
