
The Council of Architecture has revised the eligibility criteria for the admissions to the B.Arch programmes offered. According to the revised eligibility criteria, the candidates now required to have a pass mark in PCM subjects in order to secure an admission compared to the 50 percent minimum marks. This amendment however has been made only for this academic year.
According to the revised schedule released, the candidates are eligible to apply for the admissions to the B.Arch programme if they have qualified class 12 with PCM subject or have qualified 10+3 Diploma examinations with Maths.
Candidates were earlier required to have a mandatory 50 percent aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics together which has now been changed with passing marks in PCM subjects.
Only Pass Marks required
According to the notification released on the official website the Council of Architecture has replaced the eligibility criteria of 50 percent marks in PCM subjects to pass marks in PCM subjects only for this pandemic year due to the pandemic. The notification further states that according to the letter issued, the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations has recommended amending the eligibility of the KEAM 2020 prospectus.
KEAM B.Arch admissions are conducted based on the performance of the students on the NATA and the qualifying exams only as KEAM does not conduct a separate B.Arch entrance examination. Equal weightage is given to the marks secured by students in the NATA examinations and the marks in the qualifying examinations.
KEAM Counselling
The KEAM 2020 counselling will be conducted online through a Centralized Allotment Process where all the shortlisted candidates will be eligible to participate in the KEAM B.Arch 2020 counselling and seat allotment process. Candidates will be allotted seats based on merit, availability and the choices entered in the application.
