Lucknow University Examinations scheduled to be conducted between January 15 and 31, 2022 have been postponed. The decision to postpone the exams was taken by the university after close to 50 students were found positive of COVID-19.
Classes closed due to increase in cases
Lucknow University has closed the campus due to the increase in the COVID cases and now the university has decided to postpone the exams. The revised dates of the Lucknow University examinations will be announced by the officials soon. Candidates scheduled to appear for the exams are advised to visit the official website of the university for updates on the revised schedule.
According to the official notification released by the university, the students of the university and affiliated colleges have been informed that all the exams between January 15 and 31, 2022, have been rescheduled due to the increasing COVIS cases and the revised dates will be announced on the official website of Lucknow University.
UP issues order to close colleges
According to an earlier order issued by the state, all the colleges in UP were shut for offline classes until January 16, 2022. The notification had however mentioned that the exams scheduled to be conducted in the mentioned time period will be conducted offline as per schedule. With cases of COVID rising causing the third wave, many students have demanded online examinations.
UP has recorded close to 13,592 active cases and with rising numbers, it is expected that the COVID third wave is on the rise.
