
Final Year / Semester Exams 2020 in MP Universities: According to the latest update, Madhya Pradesh Government has allowed universities based in the state to hold the final year / final semester exam 2020 starting from 29th June 2020. As per MP Government, all undergraduate and postgraduate level exams in universities across the state should be completed between 29th June and 31st July 2020. The government has instructed administrations of the respective universities to start making necessary preparations in this regards.
Decision Taken at CM – Guv Meeting
The decision to hold final semester exams in universities of Madhya Pradesh was taken by the state government in a high level meeting held on Monday. The meeting was attended by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan who was joined by State Governor Lalji Tondon. The meeting was also attended by senior officials of higher education department at Raj Bhawan.
Official Notification issued after Meeting
Following the meeting between the CM and Governor, an official notification was released by the state government which confirmed that final year / semester exams, which have been postponed due to COVID-19 will now be held from 29th June and 31st July 2020. The official press release said that “CM Chouhan took part in a meeting of higher education department to decide on the dates of the final examination of graduate, post-graduate and other courses of the state universities. Accordingly, the final year/ semester exams of the state universities, both government and private, will be held from June 29 to July 31.”
MPBSE opens Exam Centre Change Facility
In related news, Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) also opened up the facility to change examination centre for the students who are stuck in different strict than then the one they had registered for. The online application process for change of examination centre has commenced today i.e. 25th May and will continue until 28th May 2020. During this period, all students who are currently stuck in a different places than their place of residence due to lockdown or other reasons, an apply for change in exam centre to their nearest location.
