NEET 2020 Exam Day Guidelines: As per the latest update, NTA has issued the exam-day guidelines including the modified dress code that are to be followed by the NEET 2020 aspirants on 13th Sept 2020 i.e. the exam day. NEET 2020 Exam Day Guidelines: As per the latest update, NTA has issued the exam-day guidelines including the modified dress code that are to be followed by the NEET 2020 aspirants on 13th Sept 2020 i.e. the exam day. For 2020 session, the conduct of NEET 2020 exam amid the on-going public health emergency, became a major point of contention among aspirants, parents and some state governments and the central government. However, now, following a go-ahead from the Supreme Court, NTA is all set to hold the exams on 13th Sept 2020.

COVID-19 Precautions & Exam Day Guidelines

However, as the exams are being held amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Testing Agency has issued specific instructions and exam-day guidelines that aspirants/ candidates need to follow in order to stay safe. As part of the these Specific COVID19 instructions and safety measures / guidelines, the apex testing agency has also provided a slightly modified dress-code that students need to follow on the exam-day.   1. Masks & Gloves are mandatory for all candidates as well as invigilators
  2. Candidates are allowed to wear their Cultural and Customary dresses to the exam hall
  3. Owing to the current weather conditions, light clothes are preferred / recommended
  4. Candidates must note that long sleeve shifts / tops are not allowed in exam hall
  5. Shoes are not allowed but footwear, slipppers and sandals are allowed for both male and female candidates.
  6. Heavy jewellery, watches and any other wearable devices are not allowed

No Assistive Devices / Equipment Allowed inside the exam hall

Being a pen-and-paper based test, candidates are not allowed to carry any assistive devices or equipment inside the exam hall for NEET 2020 exam. The guidelines issued by NTA reads “Instrument/ Geometry/ Pencil box, Handbag, Purse, any kind of Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material), Eatables (loose or packed), Mobile Phone/ Ear Phone/ Microphone/ Pager, Calculator, DocuPen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder, to wear/carry any type of watch including Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices are NOT ALLOWED.”
