NEET 2021

NEET 2021: As per the recent updates, the Kerala High Court has directed National Testing Agency (NTA) a probe in an alleged OMR sheet scam in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021. Talking about the plea filed by medical aspirants, the Court has said that there are several discrepancies in the OMR sheet or answer sheets. It has asked the NTA to hold an inquiry in the matter and submit final reports by 8th November 2021. This is one of many allegations against the NEET 2021 held earlier this year. Recently, a group of students had alleged that they had received a question paper and answer booklet having the same code and same seven-digit serial number. Further due to a mix-up by invigilators, some students including the petitioners received question papers and answer booklets carrying different codes and serial numbers.

Petition Filed by the NEET Aspirant

The petitioner has alleged that the OMR sheet was manipulated. According to the student their parents’ name was not mentioned and the thumb impression in the sheet was not theirs. The petitioner claimed that the OMR presented as hers was not the one she had attempted. The roll number of the petitioner in the numerical did not tally with the bubbled portion. She stated that she had levelled the allegations with absolute conviction and honesty and was aware of the consequences arising from making such statements.

Order Passed by Justice N. Nagaresh

Justice N. Nagaresh passed the order on a writ petition filed by Rithu Sibi from Thrissur. According to her, she wrote the NEET 2021 held on 12th September 2021. She alleged that when she had gone through the OMR sheet attached to her application number, her signature was seen manipulated.
