Counseling Notice for NEET PG Fresh Round 3 2025: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) received notice from the Supreme Court today regarding a plea asking for permission to hold a new round three of counseling for NEET PG 2024. The bench that issued this notice included Justices K Vinod Chandran and BR Gavai.
The plea claims that some candidates have blocked seats due to delays in completing the second round of counseling in Madhya Pradesh.
NEET Students Appeal in SC
Three NEET PG candidates filed a suit in the Supreme Court, arguing that the NEET PG AIQ round three counseling was "compromised" because it started before round two counseling was finished in several states, most notably Madhya Pradesh.
A few state quota candidates who would not have been eligible otherwise had the opportunity to block NEET PG AIQ seats while still obtaining better seats through state quota, according to the petitioners. They contend that this practice has disadvantaged other deserving applicants.

What do the Petitioners Want?
According to LiveLaw, the petitioners sought an order for MCC to have a fourth round of counseling for open seats that had previously been blocked by candidates in cases where NEET PG round two had not yet been completed.
In their appeal, they further requested that students who qualified for AIQ round 3 be given the opportunity to sign up for the NEET PG 2024 stray round of counseling.
