The second stage of the Aryabhatta Ganit Challenge will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education today. The top 3 students from each of the schools registered for the competition will be appearing for the computer-based test today. The Central Board of Secondary Education is conducting the Aryabhatta Ganit Challenge with an aim to imbibe the joy of mathematics in the students from class 8 to 10.
The second stage of the challenge will be conducted in the computer-based mode. The candidates will be attempting the second stage of the challenge in their own schools. The students will be provided with laptops to appear for the test. The challenge will be available in the PDF mode where candidates will have to select their answers and save the PDF.
It must also be noted that the school is to ensure complete confidentiality and fair conduct of the test without involving any science or mathematics teachers as the invigilator for the examination.
The first stage of the Aryabhatta Ganit Challenge was held in the schools from November 18 to 22, 2019. According to media reports, a total of 7, 71, 214 students participated in the competition from 5, 457 schools all over the country. The top three students from each of the schools in the first stage will be able to take part in the second stage of the competition.
In order to participate, the schools had to register the names of the top three students by submitting Rs. 900 and logging into the link provided on the official website of the board from November 18 to 27, 2019.
The top 100 students from each of the CBSE Region will be given a Certificate of Merit by the board. The board will also issue an appreciation certificate to 10 schools from each region with the maximum number of participants in the first stage of the competition.
