SSC Exam 2017 paper leak case: The Supreme Court directed CBI to file the case diary and the status report in the investigation carried out in the SSC exam 2017 paper leak case. The matter will be heard on 11 April in the apex court of the country. The matter will be heard by the bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi.
The supreme court allowed the SSC to declare the result of the re-exam of SSC CGL 2017 held last year. The order was passed on on 1 April. The court said that the stay order of 31 August 2018 for the declaration of SSC CGL 2017 result would not continue on the re-exam conducted on 9 March 2018. The court also said that many unemployed youth have to undergo suffering because someone inside the organisation was corrupt.
The Supreme Court had stayed the declaration of SSC CGL 2017 results and termed the entire Staff Selection Commission system ‘tainted’. Earlier, a bench of Justices SA Bobde and L Nageswara Rao said that it cannot permit people to benefit from the 'tainted' SSC CGL and CHSL exam and get into service. The court stayed the SSC CGL 2017 results declaration after perusing a status report of the CBI which raised questions on the integrity of several SSC officials and the custodian of the exam paper.
Now, the supreme court has directed the CBI to file the status report and case diary and there will be a hearing on 11 April 2019. Since, the court has ordered to declare the result of the re-exam therefore SSC may declare the result soon. However, the SSC has not confirmed any date for the declaration of the result. The candidates should wait for the declaration of the SSC results. However, the order of the court has given some amount of hope to the aspirants for sure.
