Admission To PG Courses: As per the reports, several universities in Telangana have started the admission procedure for Postgraduate courses for the academic year 2021-22. As per the notice by University Grant Commission (UGC), admission for Post Graduate courses must be completed by 30th September 2021. Also, the classes for PG courses will likely to start from 1st October 2021.
For admission to these courses, candidates will have to appear for entrance exams such as Common Post Graduate Entrance Test (CPGET), Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) for admission to various PG courses for 2021.
Telangana Universities Dates
Before filling the application forms, candidates are all advised to go through the detailed instruction and demo application forms which are available on the respective websites. As per the dates released, the last date to apply without late fee for CPGET is 28th August 2021. However, the last date to apply for CGPET with a late fee of Rs. 2,000 is 9th September 2021. The hall ticket for TS PGECET is available from 1st to 10th August 2021. The entrance exam will be conducted from 11th to 14th August.
Telangana Universities Admission Test
Common Post Graduate Entrance Test (CPGET) 2021 will be held by Osmania University for admission to various Post Graduate programmes such as MA, MSc, M.Com. It is also conducted for admission to various PG diploma courses and five years integrated courses. The courses are offered for the academic year 2021-22 for admission to universities such as Osmania Telangana, Kakatiya, Mahatma Gandhi, Satavahana, Palamuru, and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. However, the concern remains that in 2020, as many as 16,000 seats were not filled in colleges in Telangana as well as Telangana Universities.
TS PGCET is conducted for admission to various Engineering courses, Architecture, Pharmacy for the academic year 2021-22. This year, the examination is being conducted by Osmania University on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education, TSCHE. This year, universities have not raised the registration fee which is Rs. 800. Most universities, including the University of Hyderabad, have started their online admission procedure for their PG courses.
