
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization will be conducting the UNODC-UNESCO Regional Dialogue on ‘Engaging Youth on Education and Justice in South Asia today and tomorrow - October 27 and 28, 2020. The two-day event will be conducted virtually which will be attended by educators, policymakers and the youth from six South Asian Member States.
According to the details mentioned on the official website, the webinar will be conducted between the youth, educators, and policy-makers to discuss the ways to build just post-pandemic societies.
The event will be conducted based on the UNESCO-UNODC Partnership on Global Citizenship on Education for the Rule of Law aiming to empower children and youth in understanding and exercising their rights along with critical thinking and making ethical and sound judgements and building a just society.

Panel 1 Details
Panel 1 of UNODC-UNESCO Regional Dialogue will focus on “Youth Engagement for Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies” scheduled to be conducted today will include inspiring youth & educators from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka such as Ashok Pandey, FRSA, Director, Ahlcon Schools; Chairperson, Council for GCED, Global Citizenship Foundation, Aaryan Salman Zorabain President CtizenshipFund, Doha Declaration Global Programme, UNESCO Delhi and UNODC.
The Opening Ceremony will commence from 4:30 PM onwards which will be addressed by Senior Officials of UNODC and UNESCO which will be followed by the panel dialogue on Global Citizenship Education
Panel 2 Details
As per the details provided on the official Twitter handle of UNESCO the Panel 2 of the UNODC-UNESCO Regional Dialogue will be focusing on “Mainstreaming Education for Peace, Justice and Global Citizenship in the Classroom” including educators from Bhutan, Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka. The event will be conducted from 4 PM onwards on October 28, 2020, with two-panel dialogues. The first event will be conducted and moderated by UNODC and focus on mainstreaming education for Justice, Peace and SDG in the classrooms.
