UPSC NDA Exam Inclusion of Women
Earlier, the Supreme Court directed the Centre to allow women candidates to appear for the November 2021 entrance exam to the UPSC National Defence Academy (NDA), stating "gender equality issues cannot be postponed". In a hearing on the inclusion of women candidates in the November exam, Supreme Court has refused to exempt them and has said that women have to be included in the 14th November examination. The direction comes a day after the Defence Ministry informed the Supreme Court that a notification allowing women candidates to appear for the exam would be out by May next year.
