Veer Gatha Project - ‘Super 25’: With preparations for celebrations of Republic Day on 26th January 2022 underway, the Central Government has announced winners of its Veer Gatha Project. The Ministry of Defence on Thursday announced that 25 Students tagged as ‘Super 25’ have been selected from across the country under the project. These students would be honoured in Delhi on 25th January 2022 as part of special programmes being organized under Amrit Mahotsav.
What is Veer Gatha Project?
The Veer Gatha project was organized to create/rekindle a spirit of nationalism and patriotism in them in the run-up to the Republic Day events. According to the official statement, the competition was organized with the aim of creating a sense of patriotism among the students and a tribute to our war heroes, added the ministry. Under the project, different programs were organized for children of different ages to acquaint the students with the indomitable courage and spirit of the war heroes, brave hearts of their country in poems and essays were also included.
Super 25 Selected from over 8 Lakh Participants
The competition was organized by the Ministry of Defence in collaboration with Ministry of Education and CBSE. According to the official statistics shared by the Ministry, a total of 8,03,900 students from 4,788 schools across the country participated in Veer Gatha Project out of which ‘Super 25’ have been selected to participate in special function to be held in Delhi. These 25 have been selected under the leadership of a national-level team of the country, as per Defence Ministry information.
